Cookbook Help
I want to try and cook Korean food after I leave here and I was wondering if anyone had cookbook recommendations. I’d highly prefer the book to be in English, of course.
I’m going to go up to Seoul and visit Kyobo next week, so I was hoping to buy one then.
The Countdown Continues, Pt. 3
It’s June. I have entered what will be my last full month in the wonderful country that is Korea. Only a month and a half until I board my plane back to the States. My countdown widget is under fifty days.
Some of the other FBers have less than a month because our contract lets us leave anytime between July 1st and July 21st. 7/1 falls on a Sunday, so the departure date for some will be in June.
After returning from my trip to Xi’an, China, I didn’t reach my (homestay) bed until 3:30am. In my attempt to keep a semi-regular sleeping schedule, I woke up around 10am the next morning and was exhausted the whole day. Exhaustion is not good for the nerves and for the whole day I was despairing over the seven hellish says of teaching I have before I start showing a movie. On Thursday, my outlook was more positive, luckily, and I was able to assure myself that my countdown will quickly make its way to zero.
I am going to save my What I am Looking Forward to in the States/What I’ll Miss about Korea post for later in June. Right now, I’ll just satisfy myself with my breakdown of my final weeks in the ROK:
7: Hellish Days of Teaching Before I Start Showing a Movie in Class
21: Total Days Left at School
4: More Weekends that will be spent in Mokpo
1: Night that my host sister will make me sleep in her bed
Note: For the sake of the readers that don’t know me (or don’t know me very well), while I am looking forward to going home these countdown posts are written to be a bit over-dramatic.
